Where Should I Serve?

The first application of Detour is when we make time to help others even when it catches us by surprise. We turn away from the urgency of our moment by moment schedules and take time to help.

The second application is more planned. Serving people isn’t always on the fly; in fact there are many ways to help others if we would just set aside the time and resources. We turn away from over scheduling our lives and expending all of our resources. We intentionally make room in our lives to serve others.
